Duties & Responsibilities
1. To lead and manage a team of professional Design Engineers.
2. To check/prepare BOM (Bill of Material) as per drawings and calculations.
3. To check/prepare TDC (Technical Delivery Condition) and material specifications in accordance with project specifications and relevant code.
4. To review detail shop drawings, plate cutting layout and nesting program according to the construction drawings.
5.To develop designs from project specifications.
6. To allocate, prioritise and check work of a team of Design Engineers.
7. To check and evaluate design and material specifications for tender.
8. To prepare and check material data sheets and material take off reports.
9. To document, record and report on meetings, progress of jobs and construction completions from design & validation reports from Project Engineers.
10. To incorporate feedback from projects and customers for design clarification and modifications during the development and construction project phases.
Education& Experience
1. Bachelor degree in Mechanical Engineering
2. 7 to 9 Years of work Experience as a Design Engineer preferably in multi disciplines
3. Shall have good experience in managing technical office activities of fabrication of static equipments such as pressure vessel, heat exchangers, tanks, pig launcher and receiver.
4. Shall have good experience in managing technical office activities of fabrication steel structure skids / modules.
5. Shall have good experience in designing static equipment, such as pressure vessels, heat exchangers and tanks.
6. Shall have strong knowledge in elasticity and plasticity, strength of material, behaviour of material, failure theories and fatigue analysis
7. Shall have strong knowledge in ASME, ASTM, PD5500, API, TEMA, EJMA codes and standards. Specially the following (ASME Sec.VIII Div. 1 & 2, ASME Sec. II, TEMA, API 650, API 660, ASME B31.3, ASME B31.8).
8. Thorough understanding of engineering standards.
9. Shall be capable on working on the following software (Compress, PV Elite, CodeCalc, Nozzle Pro, AutoCAD)
10. knowledge in 3D modelling software and finite element analysis software is preferable (such as: Ansys, Solid works)
