JOB SUMMARY
The job is responsible to carry out the assigned tasks to facilitate the routine shipping operations on daily basis. The main responsibilities include loading and cleaning.
PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES Loading/Unloading/Cleaning
Carries out the jobs of loading, unloading and cleaning to facilitate logistics operations:
• Loads the loose stock on the container, trucks and vans for deliveries.
• Unloads all un-palletized loads received from third party suppliers and other warehouses & customers.
• Cleans all drums before shipment.
• Takes out leaky cartons from pallets received from production and in the warehouse.
• Cleans the shipping area on daily basis.
• Secures the loose drums after loading.
Support for Rework/Repacking/Inventory
Supports the rework, repacking and inventory tasks to facilitate OBL routine working.
• Sorts out the repack able damaged cartons and hands over to production for repacking.
• Decants the un-repack able damaged cartons into drums and handover to production to rework after taking sample and laboratory advice.
• Carry outs any other job as assigned by the storekeeper.
MENTAL DEMANDS
The most important part of the job is to keep the area clan and free of any obstacle.
The most difficult/complex part of the job is the manual loading of container especially in summer.
No creativity required in the job.
