They are currently recruiting a Head of Section Quantity Survey who will be reporting directly to the Deputy General Manager. And the position will be based in Kuwait.
The ideal candidate will be responsible for nominating staff for training; Assist Human Resources in conducting recruitment activities for the Quantity Surveyor section; Assist top management in the development of long-term strategic objectives for the Quantity Survey Section; Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures and standards, applicable laws and regulations; monitor all secion staff and ensure their compliance to the same; Understand owner/client requirements as reflected in TORs/RFPs issued by owners/clients; attend pre-tender meetings as and when required in order to gain clarifications on owner/client requirements; plus more.
It is essential the ideal candidate has the following:
15 – 20 years experience;
MRICS or RICS;
Bachelors Degree in Quantity Surveying;
Western Educated;
Mainly consultancy experience;
Knowledge of international and local construction contracts (e.g. FIDIC);
Knowledge of costing software;
Good leadership and decision making skills.
