1) Develop, design, and implement of fire prevention, protection and detection programs; and equipment/systems maintenance and training on all emergency situation.
2) Manage fire men and all firefighting and issues as well as emergency response readiness and preparedness during respective shift inside YASREF.
3) Ensure that proper firefighting emergency response training, techniques are applied and implement immediate safety measures to protect YASREF employees and property.
4) Respond to all kinds of emergencies such as fire, toxic, gas leaks, rescue of people and attend incidents as soon as notified.
5) Ensure that technical specifications for firefighting equipment (fire trucks, foam/water carriers, emergency vehicles, rescue equipment, advance control vehicles, and portable equipment) are in place and up-to-date.
6) Initiate testing of fire and rescue equipment installed at YASREF premises to ensure they are in good working condition at all times, and properly maintained.
7) Review drawings of plant area layouts for new developments, fire prevention/protection issues including recommending best methods on fire protection systems.
8) Ensure adequate communication is established and medical care is available when needed.
9) Conduct periodical technical professional training for fire staff, such as breathing apparatus training, fire leadership and prevention, method of instruction and investigation of fires, responding to emergencies.
10) Plan and oversee theoretical and practical fire extinguisher training for YASREF employees on a need-basis.
11) Establish an Incident Command System during emergency if first on the emergency scene, and acts as incident commander until relieved by senior officer.
12) Supervises and directs emergency vehicle restoration to emergency response readiness after each incident. Maintains emergency response readiness at all times.
13) Develop monthly report to the fire chief about the performance of the fire station and its activities as well as the emergency response equipment and condition.
14) Aid in the mitigation of emergencies, as directed by supervisory personnel, under jurisdiction of outside agencies when required.
15) Perform other related duties as assigned by the Fire Chief.
