Applies approved section policies, processes, and procedures and monitors adherence so that work is carried out in a controlled manner.
Applies the day-to-day operations assigned for the section to ensure compliance with the established standards and procedures.
Performs waste minimization assessment and examines methodologies to reduce waste.
Follows up on implementation of recommendations to ensure execution in order to stay in compliance with standards.
Examines and studies potential illegal dumping to ensure proper handling of waste and reports findings.
Evaluates and pre-qualifies waste management contractors and monitoring of both company and contractor waste management facilities to ensure optimal environmental performance.
Plans the technical aspects of department’s environment projects, including solution to specific pollution problems or troubles, based on and within his environmental discipline.
Participates in EIA workshops to ensure development of scope of work.
Recommends for any priority remedial actions to improve environmental performance in accordance with standard practices in the industry.
Prepares section reports in a timely and accurate manner to meet Company and section requirements, policies and standards.
Complies with all relevant safety, health and environmental procedures to ensure a healthy and safe work environment.
Performs other related duties or assignments as directed.
