I am currently recruiting a Contracts & Commercial Director for our client. Being one of the leading contractors inQatar, they provide world-class construction management services to a broad range of clients acrossQatarand the GCC. They specialise in billion-riyal programs in a variety of sectors, including Palaces, High-End Residential, Sports Stadiums, Commercial/Corporate office, Government, Retail and more.
Due to continuous expansion, driven by a global vision, they are currently hiring a Contracts & Commercial Director. The Contracts & Commercial Director would be responsible for 3 key areas: Functional; Customer; Financial. Activities would include: Claims & Providing strategic procurement and logistic leadership to the Project; Implementing a Risk Management Process and act as the Risk-Coordinator for the Project; Attend pre and post-bid meetings, with clients and in-house staff as required; Oversee the cost estimates and bid documents for construction projects or services that are used by management in preparation of the bidding process.
A Commercial Degree with an applicable post-graduate qualification is essential, and at least 10 years relevant commercial management experience. A clear understanding of commercial and construction law is required.
To summarise what is required:
20+ years post-graduate experience;
10+ years relevant commercial management experience;
Excellent knowledge of commercial and construction law;
Western Educated;
Claims & tendering background;
GCC experience;
