Responsible for the development of new applications such as: films, pipes, injection molded parts, containers & bottles, fibers, raffia, and materials/grades for these applications/products.
• To have extensive experience in:
o Structural and scientific approach to R&D projects, product development (gated stages), qualification techniques (PPAP, FMEA and SPC) and knowledge about patent filing procedure.
o Qualification and performance approval program for the product according to international standards, market need and customer requirements
o New product development project to fit specific application requirements and meet the deliverables plan and milestones of the project
o Engineering project for the development of new production technologies
o Preparation of technical training programs about the product manufacturing and applications to customers and marketing staff
o Handling investigation into customer technical complaints, liability assessment and technical claim investigation relevant to the product grades when required.
o Preparation of technical reports, internal documentations, patents and analytical studies about the product manufacturing industry and its market trend
o Product manufacturing process including process condition setting, optimization and trouble shooting for the product and downstream such as finishing, reinforcement and cross-linking.
o Characterization of material properties including rheological, structural, thermal and mechanical analyses
o Product material compounding, additives, stabilizers and modifiers according to the process and application requirements
o Computer and IT skills including CAD/CAM, CAE, MS, and management software such as SAP or equivalent.
o People management including communication, coaching, training and people development plans
o Performance management and continuous development tools including lean manufacturing such as TPM, Kaizen, 6 Sigma and 5 S’s
o Experienced in FILM, PIPE, Material and bottles.
